  1. There's certain times in life where you are so mentally connected to your friends or social media, and basically turn off your brain about everything else happening in the world. All your intention is towards the little screen sitting in your hand, continuously moving your thumbs, typing in such a rapid speed. “Stephanie, go clean your room before you get your phone taken away”, your mom yells from the downstairs kitchen. “ Give me a minute, I'll do it later”, you scream back. Before you know it, it's time for bed and you still haven't moved your butt up from the couch you've been laying on all day. As a result, you didn't even try to start cleaning your room, leaving yourself with a false response to your mom. Once again, your “Later” turned into a “Never”.
The quote “Do it Now. Sometimes ‘Later’ becomes ‘Never’” is probably one of the realist words I've ever read in my life. It explains so much about a teenagers daily routine from school all the way towards eating dinner at night. It happens so often, that people don't even realize they're doing the wrong action. In other words, when others try to tell you to do something new or somehow can benefits your life, take the step to achieve it while the opportunity is still visible. You have to take it into consideration and think about how it can affect your own life in the long run. Simply saying “later” isn't good enough to give you the courage to put things into action. Instead, It gives you a dull mindset and returns your attention back to whatever you're so focused on between the iPhone screen. Especially being in the teenage part of a growing society, every individual is so overwhelmed with schoolwork, family, and all the drama nonsense spreading so quickly. They all have so many concerns and worries that they often forget what you have asked them to do anyways. I'll admit the truth because it happened to me multiple of times. My parents can tell me to fold the laundry and if I don't get right to it, it's too late when I finally remember what I'm suppose to be doing. Therefore, the best thing to do is stop whatever you're doing and start taking action towards what others tell you. Obviously, If you're in the middle of finishing something important, drop down some quick notes that will remind you of what to do. In other cases, if you aren't proactive and purposely keep laying around watching TV all day, it can only start harming yourself. The endless amount of times you've said “later” is going to be the endless amount of chores or homework you will eventually need to accomplish. All the small work that stacks up will cause headaches and stress on nobody else but you. It can be easy, but you've just made it hard on yourself. Another thing that the quote explain really well is that sometimes you get frustrated at yourself for never accomplishing something you really want to, due to the constant dragging your body like a lazy rag doll. For example, when you are showing a passion in playing a certain sport and knowing that you need a physical handed in before a certain date, you can't keep saying “Later”. Eventually, time flies by and you're never turns into “Never”, letting yourself miss out on something you've really be hyped for. It's a shame how such simple words can affect your physical and mental Health.
We need to realize how saying later can affect once in a lifetime chances. You never know how one task you accomplish can be a life changing event, leading you into a brighter future. Taking chance gives you the best experience of learning new things from other or from own mistakes. Everything is out there for you, it's your time to grasp onto it by saying “ I'll do it , I'll do it now”.

  5. G&T 500 Words - March
    By: Krish Desai

A major problem facing the world currently is missed opportunities. When someone looks back in their memory, they think “Oh I wish I could’ve done that, or maybe even that!” This only happens because people have missed their opportunities. These people pushed it off to the end, saying that they would do it tomorrow, and they never got to do it. They remember all those times they said that they would do it later and then never got to it. Now they wish they could’ve done that. These people wish they could go back in time and make their missed opportunities and into actual opportunities. Procrastination is like killing your opportunities. Many times you lay someone off saying you’ll do it later, but you actually never get to it in the end. At one point in their life, people lay off something that requires lots of hard work but give you a huge reward in the end, for their own enjoyments. For example, you got to an amusement park with your friends rather than sitting down and working on your project that due in 3 weeks. You keep procrastinating the project until it is due in 3 days! This is when you start getting worried and panicked. You start rushing the project, and in the end, the project turns out to be a huge failure. If you had used your time wisely, you may have been able to finish your project and gotten an A (or other reward based on your project). Other people, they may not even do they project! These people have witnessed firsthand how later became never. Procrastination and laziness are starting to become a major world issue.

Do it now. Sometimes “later” becomes “never” is an extremely wise and relatable quote as it is always happening in the world. I too many times procrastinate my work to the last second, sometimes I am just lazy, other times I forget to do my work, and sometimes I just ignore it. Even though many times I have procrastinating, I just keep doing it over and over again, this is because I’m just lazy and I don’t feel like doing it. I say to myself, “Oh I still have a few days - let me play a game instead!” Given a choice, people will always choose games or fun over work, this is because games and fun are more enjoyable than working. This is wrong, we should instead manage our time wisely and do a little amount of work every day, instead of leaving our work to the last second. Time management is important as people are always leaving things behind, and many times forgetting them or just plain ignoring them. Everybody just says “Oh, I will do it later” eventually, they never get to these tasks and this is when it becomes a problem. These tasks can be as minor as chores or as major as a résumé for your dream job. If you don’t do these tasks, you’re going to have to end up with a major consequence. These tasks stack up, and soon the stress of not doing these tasks fall upon you. When people become stressful, they can harm their health. Stress can affect your sleep, cause high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, diabetes and more. You might also feel a heavy weight on your shoulders. If only you hadn’t said “later”, you should’ve done it “now”. You had so much of the valuable material called time. Once you wasted time, you lost it, and now you may never get it back. This time that you wasted, which should’ve been used for the productive activity, will haunt you later in life. The stress of all the work you have remaining may cause depression, anxiety, worry, nervousness, and negative thoughts. When leaving things to later we may never get to them.

This quote inspires us to stop procrastinating, but actually doing our work right away. Many times we’ll leave things to the last second, and when too many things are kept until the last second, we start rushing and forgetting our work. Just because we are lazy, we shouldn’t leave things till the last second. Instead, we should have time management and spread out work out evenly, and not waste time. The quote is in many ways right - it may be small, but it has a huge impact. This quote can be translated in many ways, all good, and everyone can relate to it. Once people stop being lazy and actually start working, they won’t have to say “I wish I had done this work earlier!” While they had the time, they said “I’ll do it NOW!”, and that led them to finish their project and having no worries. This quote, if followed the right way, will give success to any individual.

I’m sure all of you guys reading this have dreamed about being successful in life, reaching your goals. Although, have you ever thought about how people become successful? Well there is a common link in all successful people out there - all of them have learned the value of their time and their word.
Time is never sufficient nor does it wait for anyone. All tasks have a deadline, a right time to be carried out. If not fulfilled in the right time, those tasks have no meaning.
The word “later” and time are rivals that can never go along. You are either on time, or you are too late. The quote, “Do it now. Sometimes ‘Later’ becomes ‘Never'" is the something that if you realize in time it can benefit you greatly. Later is a time that never comes and if it does, it comes too late.
There are instances where you say later but time doesn’t wait, you don't realize when it runs out, you have no choice but to procrastinate. I recall reading, “Procrastination is the thief of time, years after year it steals, till all are fled, and to the mercies of a moment leaves the vast concerns of an eternal scene.“ Edward Young believes. Procrastination makes you lazy; leads you to make use ways from which you gain nothing. Once you say “later”, it reappears several times and stops only when you realize or you fail.
Saying later is an indication of your “flaws”, if you will, and only a signal that means “Not Happening.”
“The trouble is, you think you have time” Buddha had suggested. He is correct. Everyone thinks they have all their life, loads of time, but you never know. Not that I am pessimist but time is the unpredictable thing. You can not foresee what will happen in your future - life or death, being fit or being diseased etc. Therefore, do whatever you plan NOW. This way you accomplish your goals without any fear or rather worry about tomorrow.
Often times, you find “later” as excuse to just deny things for a while. You simply use “later” as an tool to give up trying. However, that one word does not save you from doing that thing. So why give up in the first place. Forget that you have an excuses to  give up and do it till you get it right.
Several instances have occurred when I have said “Sure, in a minute..” or “Sure, I will do it later…” but that ‘later’ never arrives. You keep pushing time, denying your job which ends up never getting done. Now, for your benefit, stop saying “Sure, in a minute..” or “Sure, I will do it later…”, and start implementing “Yup, coming now” or “On it!”. I promise you will see a change in you and your lifestyle. And believe me it will be a positive change.
Two different things are that you should realize the importance of time, and you should stop using “later” as a word of excuse. Start being on time and success will come early!

There will be one time when you become so interested in your friends, social media, and becoming popular. You just try to put your brain to a stop and become absorbed in the little device in your hand. To you, it is your world, and to you, you can not survive without it. And all you want to do at this moment is swiftly move your thumbs up and down the screen. The question, "Did you finish your homework?" floats all the way to your ears, and you reply back. "No. I'll do it later." Suddenly, it is 8:00 pm on Sunday night, and you realize that you didn't finish your homework. When you hear your mother calling you for dinner, you tell her that you didn't finish it, resulting in an unnecessary, if not avoidable, lecture. And one more time, your 'later' has turned into a 'never.'
The quote "Do it now. Sometimes 'later' becomes 'never'" is probably the words that I and many people should follow. The situation above is what happens to me every night, not just on Sunday. Everyone, not just teenagers are procrastinators. Now, you can comfort yourself and deny it, but deep down, you know the truth. From the moment you leave school or work to when you eat dinner or sleep. It happens almost all the time, so we don't really realize that we are doing the wrong thing. So like all wrong things, it should stop. We should just do whatever we were supposed to do from the start. You need to think ahead and see how it would affect your future. Just saying "later" is not going to be good enough to put things into action. Instead, it will give you a blank mind and will make sure that you will put all of your attention into the phone that was/is your world. When you are a teenager, you are quickly stressed out with schoolwork, family, and keeping your social life active, that you end up forgetting about what someone asked you to do in the end. It happens to me all the time. Either with homework, or just daily items and chores. Therefore, the right and best thing to do is to just stop whatever you are doing and start doing the action that people tell you to. And of course, if you are in the middle of something really important, write down what someone is telling you to do, just like I am doing now on my phone, as I am typing this blog.
We all need to realize that saying later will affect your future and that you could miss out on an once in a lifetime opportunity. You never really know how your future can play out, so missing one thing can turn your happy and bright future, into a glum and miserable one. When you take a chance you are basically giving yourself a really good experience of learning new things from our own mistakes or other people's mistakes. So stop saying, "I'll do it later" and start saying "Let's do it now."

  11. When you hear a person say that they will do something later, they usually mean that they are postponing it. At first you just feel like doing it later instead of doing it right away. Then you lose control over yourself. Every time you are reminded of the task that you have not yet completed, you decide to waste even more time repeating those same words “I will do it later”. As you keep repeating that phrase, the ‘later’ never comes. This is called procrastination. This doesn’t just happen for the sole reason of laziness, but for many other reasons as well, such as exhaustion, despisement, or just plain carelessness. But regardless of the reason why you are breaking your promise to eventually finish your work, making a promise and not fulfilling it is the wrong thing to do, which is a mistake that shouldn’t be made by anyone.

Do it now! Why wait to do something later when you can do it right now? Don’t try to get out of doing something with an excuse. Forget about that excuse and just finish the task at hand. An excuse is just a way of covering up your true intentions of passing the time by playing video games, watching some television, or participating in any activity for amusement, instead of using that time wisely to do your work.

We all have two sides to us, two people sitting on our shoulders telling us what to do. The person that tells us good things for our benefit and works for us to thrive is our angel, and the person who is the complete opposite and schemes to get us off the right track is our devil. Temptations that prohibit us from doing things right away are things that our devil influences us to do. In order to do the right thing instead of getting tempted by our devil, we must ignore what our devil tells us to do, and follow our angel.

We cannot claim that we have never postponed our work for ‘later’, because we have all done it. For example, a person might say that they will finish their math homework ‘later’, but instead, they never do it. Then when the submission time comes, that person rushes through their homework, and finishes their homework right before they go to school. But since they rushed through it, when they get it back graded, that person fails. He probably shouldn’t have postponed it to the last minute.

You should always avoid procrastination as it is never good for anyone. If you are the type of person who will do anything to avoid doing your work right away, you will find yourself facing consequences. Suppose a person has to write an essay in one week, and that person decides to wait till the very last day to write it, now he has to write an entire essay in such a short time. He will be stuck and will be in a dilemma, with no guarantee of getting out of it. Now envision that same person doing a little bit of that essay every day. By the time the submission date nears, that person will be done with a good essay, with some time to spare to do whatever he/she wants to do. Which person would you want to be? The person who decides to finish all his work and has time to have fun, or the person who only has fun but no time to do his work. Do what you have to do now, so that you will not have to face the consequences later.

  12. To live in the moment, or now, means being conscious, aware and in the present with all of your senses. It means not dwelling on the past, nor being anxious or worrying about the future. When we concentrate our attention on the present we focus on the task at hand. We give our full attention to what we are doing and we let go of outcomes. Seizing each moment in life allows us to prolong its value and make it more meaningful. Rather than seeking quantity of time, when we live in the moment we enjoy and savor every minute. We don't sacrifice quality for quantity. Basically, this quote tells me to live in and for the moment because the future is uncertain.
Of course, this doesn't mean we don't need to plan, set goals or prepare for the future. It means we don’t limit ourselves with old beliefs or let guilt and shame rule our decisions. We can do all of these things and still enjoy each moment as it unfolds. For instance, if we have set a goal to exercise each day, we would carry on with it while enjoying the actual process, or moment, of exercising (or at least be in the moment of it).
When we train ourselves to live in each moment, we immerse ourselves in it and begin to discover its beauty and wonder. We learn focus and how to manage our energy. Professional athletes understand and employ this kind of focus very well. They know that accomplishment and success are a result of the skillful management and balancing of energy. To make every moment count we must embrace it. Everything we do and every person we come in contact with deserves our full attention. Even when resting we should savor the moment. It gives us the opportunity to recharge, renew and gain clarity.
Quite often we put huge expectations on ourselves and our lives. We rush to do this, hurry up with that, without actually enjoying the process. What's the rush? Where do you think you're going? When someone forgets that you can’t physically change the past, it affects the way they act in the future. If we don't stop and think about where we're at, we're probably missing the point. Instead, when we appreciate each moment and garner the lessons from it, we live consciously, purposefully and responsibly. Likewise, when we live in the past and don't let go of painful experiences, perceived wrongs, or difficult times, we condemn ourselves to a present and future of the same. We cannot change the past. We can, however, come to terms with it, know that it's over, and move on.
Living in the moment means being liberated from the baggage that can get in our way. It means looking at those old photos and moments and celebrating what they represent, knowing they contribute to but do not limit who you are today.
Living in the moment doesn’t mean throwing all caution to the wind. It means drawing on the strength within you each and every moment to celebrate who you are—and to honor your relationships, to learn new things, explore your creativity, love your family or even just simply enjoying a beautiful day.
Living in the moment means letting go of the past and trusting in the future. When we are positive and optimistic in the present, we open the possibility of a positive and promising future. We owe it to ourselves to make every moment count - now!

When was the last time that you have said something along the lines of, “In a few minutes” or just the plain old “one minute”, which is rarely ever a minute, but more so 10 minutes, 20 minutes, an hour, and even more? Most people say something along these lines every day, sometimes, not even at their notice.
To be honest, I do say “2 minutes” more often than necessary. Every morning, my parents yell at me to get myself off of my bed, and I say to them. “2 minutes!” I do get up, sooner or later, but it is much after the 2 minutes call. Consequently, I am rushing around my house so that I won’t be late for school.
This is exactly where the quote takes an important role. If I just get my lazy self up when am told, I would not be late nor would my mornings be chaotic. While the “later” doesn’t become never in this specific instance, sadly to say, it isn’t the same with all cases.
There have been more than a few times when things don’t get accomplished, solely due to the fact that people tell themselves or others that they will do it later, but they either end up forgetting or just not doing the task put forth.
Some of these non-accomplished tasks may consist of those not important, while some play a drastic part of your life. You need to write a 20 page essay to be accepted to your dream college, and every day, you are occupied with other things, or just leave it for later. Even though you are given more than a month to hand in the essay, you put it off, just so that you can enjoy your life at the moment, not rationalizing your future. Soon, you are too preoccupied with doing that item of enjoyment that you don’t even realize that the essay is due the following week. Finally, the essay is due the next day, and it is only then that you realize that you have so much work to be accomplished on that topic. That whole day, you rambunctiously work on your essay, and thankfully, complete it, through pulling an all-nighter for the issue. If you had not procrastinated and kept making an excuse of later for the past month, you might have not been so stressed in doing the assignment. In this case, you may have finished the essay, thanks to your remembrance, but in other cases, people just forget, because they had been saying “later” for a really long time. When people repeat the words, “I will do it later” every single day, soon, it will become something said so often that they don’t take much of a notice of the words. The lie would be spoken so often that when it is said, even though it shoots out of a person’s mouth, they forget they even had said it. When this occurs multiple times, people will have no reason to believe you, as they know that whenever you answer with a “I will do it tomorrow”, you do not do it.

Teens really don’t understand the concept of missing out in their life, but when they grow older, and think back to their life in the past, they will realize the numerous mistakes, and feel guilty. At that time period though, there is nothing to do about the past, but only about the the unpredictable future ahead. As mentioned beforehand, your future is unpredictable, and when it is so, wasting your time with “I will do it later” is not living a life wished for. If everything in life is done when the issue is put forth, your life in general can be lived in a more positive way.
Again, teens are the ones who are most likely to say that they will complete a task allotted to them at a later time period. Every day, whether they even realize it, they are pushing tasks to a later time, and soon, just not being able to get to them. Then, they start making up excuses that they were not given the appropriate time. Whatever teens make up, the fact that the task was not accomplished cannot be changed.
Everyone’s life would be much more positive if they take to regard this quote, “Do it now. Sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never’”. Whenever someone provides them with a task, instead of procrastinating on it with a lie of later, getting up and completing the task before enjoying in whatever form they wish, would result in a life filled with optimism, belief, trustworthiness, and happiness.

  15. When's the last time you set a goal but never started working towards it? This situation is all too common, with people listening to the little devil on their shoulder encouraging them to procrastinate. The quote "Do it now. Sometimes 'later' becomes 'never'" is a reminder not to wait until the last minute for things that you could do just as easily right away.
Imagine being a high school senior. At the beginning of the school year, you had set a few goals for yourself that you wanted to accomplish in order to make your college applications stand out. As the months pass, nothing on your list gets done due to you putting them off and constantly telling yourself that you'll "do it later". Soon enough, the time has come to submit applications, and you have no more time to accomplish any of your goals. As a result, rejection letters from your top choices flood your mailbox later on. Your 'later' turned into a 'never', and you changed your future for the worse. Had you avoided procrastinating and instead checked things off your list in a timely manner, you could have been accepted to one of your choices.
We have the power to choose who we want to be. We can be the person who get things done on time, or we can be the one who wastes time on their phone and forgets to do their work. Time is precious. All you'll do if you lounge around watching TV is waste it. Time doesn't wait for anyone and thus should be used wisely. Furthermore, wasting time when you have tasks to complete can cause stress, which in turn leads to more health problems. There's nothing to gain by leaving things to the last minute, but there are things to lose. Consider it, would you rather be the person who finishes everything they need to get done on time and can relax, or the person who claims they'll finish things later, rushes to do things, and becomes stressed? Everything has to be done sooner or later, and if doing it sooner yields better results, why do it later? Actions speak louder than words, so rather than telling yourself you'll do something later, begin doing it now. Once you take the necessary actions to get your work done, you'll see a huge change in the right direction.
The quote is especially applicable to teenagers. In a world where hours are spent staring at a phone screen, putting things off is, sadly, normal. They'd rather laze around and talk to their friends than get things done quickly. However, constantly saying "I'll do it later" can lead to regretful memories when one is older. It means one has missed out on opportunities, didn't finish things, and was lazy. These shouldn't be things that today's teens think when they're older. By getting things done on time and balancing work and play, they won't have these regrets. Instead, they'll have started a positive, lifelong habit and won't recall scrambling to complete assignments the day before their due date.
"Do it now. Sometimes 'later' becomes 'never'". These seven simple words remind us about the dangers of procrastinating and the importance of getting things done on time. Start listening to the angel on your other shoulder and work on things you'll "do later".

  16. “Child, start your homework!”
“Yes mom! I will start it in a second” … And then you actually start thirty minutes later.
Well, accept it. We all have done this before. I know that I have done this not once, but multiple times.
What we all need to learn, and what this quote is explaining, is that time has a meaning, that every minute is precious. You need to be productive. As middle schoolers , we have a lot of work on top of us from projects to normal homework. Additionally, we have the PARCC test coming up in just a month.
You have a math project due in one month, and when your parents remind you to do it, you say, “I will finish it later, mom and dad. I still have a whole month left to do it.” Time flies by, and you keep on saying that you will do it later. The night before the project is due, you rush to finish it up, sleeping at midnight. The next morning you wake up, exhausted, saying, “I wish I finished this earlier. I had one whole month to do it.”
This quote has a meaning that is very important to life, especially in the twenty-first century. Education is one of the most important things needed by any person to succeed in life. In school, you get major grade projects, computerized annual assessments, benchmark tests, lots of homework, etc. Starting at this age, we should all learn to manage our time, because high school, college, and work will involve working with double or even triple the amount of work you do right now, in middle school. If you can’t evenly manage out your time with all the work you have to do, you won’t survive high school.
Many teenagers of today procrastinate A LOT. Most of their time is spent on Instagram, Google Plus, Snapchat, Facebook, and other social media, rather than focusing on their work. Teenagers that do so most likely would not get time for their homework. They say that they will start their homework in this much time, but when it is actually started, not enough time is left to finish it. In this case, the teens either stay up late or just don’t do their homework. Instead of first spending time on social media, kids should finish any homework and work they have to do, and then as a break, go on Facebook, Instagram, etc. Following a schedule like this would help students do better in school.
Time is limited, and the more you accomplish in the twenty four hours of a day, the better it is for you. When we are doing activities like, as said before, going on social media, we think, “Oh I have so much time to do my homework and extracurricular activities.” There are only twenty four hours in a day, and out of the twenty four hours you spend time sleeping, going to school, eating, playing, etc.
Think smartly about how you use your time, because that will affect you in the future.
The author of this quote used great words, words that stand out the meaning of this quote.
Every moment is precious. Learn to do things NOW. Do not leave them for later, because that later might change into a never, is not only the meaning of this quote, but also something we should all remember.

  17. The exact definition of procrastination is “the action of delaying or postponing something.” This goes hand in hand with this quote, because people will say they will do a task, and never end up doing it. These tasks can have a vast range, such as doing your homework to things that can play a role in our future. Most of us say we will do it later or tomorrow, but a lot of times the busyness of our everyday lives distract us from what we need to do. Sometimes we can just do the simple task, but we are too lazy to do it, have no desire, or are distracted by something that isn’t as important.
This quote can be interpreted many ways, but looking from the eyes of an average middle schooler, I see it as a constant struggle. Homework builds up every night, and sometimes I’m motivated to just do it, but that’s usually after many days of procrastinating and going to bed late. Homework is mandatory, so it gets done at some point, but I don’t get to other things. Sometimes I feel like everything I need to and should get done is just lying on my shoulders, and the things that should be done, but don’t need to just float away. That one thing I was going to do later did become never. It’s very hard to balance things, when you want to do everything, but you know you can’t. This quote is very true, and I think that it makes me see why I don’t always get everything I want to do done.
Procrastination doesn't always mean that you won't get things done, but that you might not do things to the best of your ability. Studying the night before a big test is usually not a good idea. Studying over a course of time before the test is probably a better thing to do, so you aren't stressed out from doing everything at one time. With anything, from school to work, doing things at the last minute doesn't show your full potential. Most people do this at least once or twice, and learning from it is the best thing to do. A perfect example is the people who do their blogs at the last minute, like me. Sometimes when I could put way more detail and think about everything I'm writing, I don't have time to do that. I'm doing it at the last minute and I'm trying to write my best. Although I always find something else to do. The thing I do most is text my friends, which really distracts me, because I don't want to leave them, but I have to do my blog. My other excuses range from let me just lay down for a few minutes or it would be way better to just move the mouse around the computer screen. The times when I just focus and have time, I seem to produce better writing. This quote shows that procrastination will not help, and doing things when you need to, will make sure it gets done.

Every morning while getting ready, every time while playing a video game, you will probably find yourself saying “later” or “two minutes please” but that never happens! You will always end up extending these things and postponing other important tasks sometimes even to the next day. “Do it now! Sometimes, ‘Later’ becomes ‘Never’” This quote is so relatable and is basically the definition of procrastination, and this is something that probably everyone does, especially teenagers! According to google, “Procrastination is the avoidance of doing a task which needs to be accomplished. It is the practice of doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones… thus putting off impending tasks to a later time. Sometimes, procrastination takes place until the "last minute" before a deadline.” Sounds familiar? Well, it is much like what some of us will be doing for most of our blogs. We leave our blog to the last minute and always end up frustrated and stressed and always rushing to do the blogs. Instead if we do it now, when we are obligated to do it, we will be much happier and healthier!
Most of us may think that they have all the time in the world, and don't do things when they have to be done. However, the cold truth is that you don’t always have the time of your life! You have do things when you are supposed to do them! We should always do things when they are obligated to be done, if it is too late, your ‘later’ will eventually become a ‘never’, you run out of time. We are already lucky enough to get the time to do so many things, that we don’t realize some people don’t even get HALF that time. Doing things when they need to be done saves so much of your time, it allows you to catch more opportunities whereas not doing things when they are supposed to be done just takes away your time and it also adds to your missed opportunities! You have only limited time on earth and you should make the most out of it! You don’t want to be stressed your entire life, and then at the last moment you are even more stressed rushing to get your work done before the deadline!
If you do your work and your tasks beforehand, you are going to have more than enough time to have fun, and with that you are  going to be even happier than procrastinating to have fun before work. When you do your tasks beforehand, it leaves you with the rest of your time to have fun when you finish your tasks you wouldn’t want to extend them longer so you SOOO much time to have fun. But when you have fun before doing your work, you would always want to extend it more and more, and then you would be left with minimal time to do your work! Do you really want that!? Would you want unlimited time for fun but also not to have to worry about work? It’s easy, just “do it now, sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never’”.

  19. Procrastination is something that I normally ace at! There are some times when I actually finish my project before the last minute all-nighter, but that’s like once in a blue moon. But really, all of us should embrace this quote. Handing in assignments late and missing out isn’t always the best option. There are so many other ways of dealing with tasks then just leaving them to do later. Plus, it’s not like your work is just going to finish up itself. That’s why humans were created the smartest animals on Earth; so that we could use our genius-like brains to figure out obstacles, analyze problems, and clear up the task at hand.

What I would really like to emphasize is the part of the quote where it states, “Sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never’.” When there is an educational related issue, for example an unsubmitted science homework or whatnot, there is not much concern to the matter (although you should have some regard to unfinished work assignments). The worrying part of it all is a major procrastination. For example, one of your dearest, most closest friend is leaving. Although, you would love to give them a goodbye hug, you cannot because you are on the Indian sub-continent and he is moving to North Brunswick (based on a true story by mau). At these times, sometimes waiting for something to occur, may never happen. That is why leaving the way things are and waiting and passing time is not always the best case. It’s possible for me and my friend to meet in the future, but what if that can’t happen. By living life and doing everything now, we have no regrets for the future.

One more thing is regrets. Honestly, even if you asked some elderly people sitting in a hospital bed, laying on death’s feet, they’re answer on what they regret is probably not what they did, but what they didn’t do. If they had not thought about achieving their goal later on in life, they would have been able to accomplish it. But by putting it to the side and letting time take its toll, they passed the opportunity. Then, after all of that, there are some people who think having children/grandchildren stops people from completing what they always wanted to do. That’s not true though. Nothing should keep you at a halt between you and your dream. Because, if there is a blockade, the only one to blame is none other than yourself for you could not leap high enough to come over it.

Like the expresson, “Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today,” your ambitions and goals will not be surpassed on their own. With hard work and determination, anyone can achieve what they always wanted to do or be. It doesn’t matter if things arise in the middle of that journey. As long as your mind is set and you are passionate about what you want to do, you’ll be able to finish up any task. Especially an important task before it’s too late.

People are basically like a humanoid life form that is free of all worries. When they are told something they understand, but if they are told in the middle of another action then it goes to the back of their head never to be heard again. That is why some people tend to use force so that the person doing the action does not forget. That is why some of those humanoids do the right thing and just stop in the middle of their action and do the new one first. All people are different, but they can become the same if they all follow the same rule. That is almost impossible so don't even think about it. Now back on topic there are many responses to answer any question with. When someone tells you to do something, what is your usual answer, later, ok, not now, never and probably more. Now you should think about this, if someone tells you to do something you will probably say later if you’re doing something you enjoy. In the thought of having fun you will forget that “later” and it will become a “never”. That means that you lied. Now there is a quote written by a very famous person “Do it now. Sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never’. This quote has a lot of meaning to it but may be hard to understand. You have to understand the basis of the quote in order to make it easy.
This quote means that many people in general do not like to stop doing what they are currently doing in order to do another thing. That proves that humans are very carefree and do not pay much attention to tasks that are not important to them. They probably do this because of the fact that humans would rather do something they enjoy than something they are being asked to do. You would not want to make the person who asked you to do something feel bad so you reply sometimes. In the end do you actually end up doing it, or is it like all the others, forgotten? That was the main basis of the quote so now you should have a better understanding of the quote but there is still more to it. This quote is basically showing you an example of the human brain, you are doing something and your brain is just focused on that one thing, so focused, that sometimes when a person asks you a question you might just answer yes with no thought, even though you would have chosen no. when a human is doing something and is given another task the task just hops on to the end of the brain train meaning you will do everything in your head before that until you finally get to the thing you were told. The worst part is that the brain train has a malfunction, the further back you are from the front the easier it is to forget that task. Meaning if you don't do a task right away you might end up forgetting about it. So when someone asks you something you should answer it right away or move it towards a spot in your head where you won't forget about it.
Overall you should not decline a request from someone and say you will do it later because you will most probably not. You should just finish what they want you to do and then right away once you're done you can get back to your original activity. That will allow you to do your original activity and also do your task assigned to you. If all humans follow these rules then they could get screamed at less from their parents and get less stress because they won't have the feeling that they forgot to do something. That is why “‘Do it now. Sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never’.’”

  21. “Do it now. Sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never’” — this is one of those messages that we all must accept and comprehend wholeheartedly. Recall the last time you have attempted to procrastinate a certain task for later. Had it done any good for you later on? The likely answer is no. Procrastinating things we do not favor to do for later is one of man’s greatest weaknesses. Albeit the fact that we naturally classify this quote as “cliché,” it is true; doing something now than doing something later is always the more ideal choice.
People in the modern world are vastly different from their ancestors, and that is especially due to the fact that we are all lethargic and obsessed with glancing at a screen every five seconds. According to several scientific studies, people are more prone to think reactively than act proactively. This means that they do not think of the consequences of an action prior to the action being done; instead, they blindly do something without considering it until after it has occurred. In my perspective, I believe that not being proactive only generates more problems in the future, where running a business and carelessly investing could make you suffer severe consequences. Unfortunately, what people, especially teenagers, appear to care about the most at their age is their friends’ new posts on whatever social media website they use. People are more likely to spend that entire Friday evening on their phone, rather than even think about the notion of finishing homework or other worthwhile tasks early.
The wise Benjamin Franklin once boldly claimed that “The best talkers are the least doers.” This perfectly resembles the situation of procrastination. Nowadays, children tend to respond to their parents’ pleas of “Come on!” with the infamous “In a minute!” battle cry. However, that promise ends up happening a lot later than previously intended. Like what Franklin had stated, people who talk more do less than people who listen. Listening is another great weakness we humans tend to face every now and then. We have two ears and only one mouth for a reason.
Finally, I think that the idea of procrastination is one that may prove quite dangerous and ludicrous to our future. For example, suppose that you have a major exam in the near future. That test would define the rest of your life. Unfortunately, you get caught up with other miniscule things like messaging your friends, and you put away precious time that should be spent more for studying. Your parents keep warning you to study more, but you postpone your promises. Eventually, on the day of your major test, you regret not studying very well. After you get your test results back, you see that you performed significantly poorly! Why would this ever happen? This happened because you had not made a proactive action before the test. Such a mistake could be fatal enough to destroy one’s entire future! Right now, we may not think that our bad habits are harmful, but they are.
Conclusively, this effective, concise quote taught me a great wealth about the hindrances of adjourning things for later. I had also done this before, but now I can acknowledge that it harms me more than it does good. We may tend to assume that when we have to do something, it will be painful. But if you procrastinate often, you have to handle the stress and the pain of doing it later on. So, next time you strongly consider postponing a project or something of the sort, remember this quote, and you will succeed without even realizing it.

  22. Let's be honest... we are all procrastinators and are all extremely lazy. I mean we are all great students, but sometimes we just slack off because we know that we are capable enough of finishing something up at the last minute. That's why we wait for a project's due date to arrive and then finish it up by pulling and all-nighter. And then the next day we successfully hand in that homework assignment or project, but then again we destroy our sleep and our mind doesn't function properly. But the only thing that matters is that you completed and every other project will have to wait. But what if we didn't have that time to finish up our last minute assignments?

We are always so confident that we can finish things at last minute and we'll be able to get a good grade. But now let's imagine we don't have that last minute time. Let's say you were bombed with a wide-load of homework. Now you spend working on your homework till about 8:30 pm. Where is that time that you were counting on to finish your work? It's gone. And the next day you forget to get up early to finish your assignment but your alarm didn't go off and you ended up not being able to finish your work. Not only that, you ended up late to school! Good job, you officially ruined your perfect attendance and grade. (Not that anyone would care).

When we get a project, we always think that we could be able to do it later and by "later" we mean last-minute. But like in the quote above, later can become never. This is very true. You only get very few chances in life to achieve and succeed. So it's best to do things right now, not later. In life we rarely get second chances, so if we want to do something, the time is now. Not later, not soon, nor tomorrow.

Let's think about our everyday lives. How many times do we say something that we want to do, but we are never able to do it because we said I'll do it later. We should do our things that we have to do before the time that it is due. Who knows, whether we ever will be able to do that thing at last minute?

We all want to be recognized as something more that nerds or athletes or geeks. Except some of us decide that we can prove ourselves some other time. No one would care whether you could do this or that. Everyone wants to see you do something really neat. And in middle school that is pretty hard. But if you're like me, you would join the school's drama club and make everyone laugh. Now I go around the school with 8th graders that think of me as a really good and funny actor. What made me do this was the thought that if I ever left this school, I want to be remembered. And I'm pretty sure I will be. But my point is that if we want to do something we should do it now. Who knows what will happen after you show off your skills?

Despite how much I wandered off topic, my point is that whatever you want to do should be done now but not later because there might be no later.

  24. Have you ever had a time when you had a major project due the following day and you just started it the day before? Trust me, this has happened to me many, many, many times. For instance, this blog. As you guys know, we get our assignment at the beginning of the month, and we have to complete the assignment by the end of the month. This is me right this minute, doing the blog, at March 31, at 7:48 P.M. I don’t know if you noticed, but I have a tendency to do my assignments or projects at the last minute. :)

“Do it now. Sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never’”. I seriously need to follow this quote. What this quote is trying to say is that you should not wait until the last minute, until it’s due to turn in the assignment (like me). You should be working on it once you get the assignment, for a specific time period each day. (depending on when your assignment is due).

Take homework, for example. After 7 long hours of school, you come trudging home, throw your backpack on the floor, and plop onto the sofa. Mom comes to the room and says, “Quickly finish your homework, and then you can do whatever you want”. And then, you are like, “I know Mom! My homework is really easy. It will probably take me about half hour to finish! I am just going to watch T.V. for 15 minutes and I’ll start doing my homework”. Then, 15 minutes turns to half hour. Half hour turns to one hour. One hour turns to two hours. You look at the clock. 8:00. You then go to your homework table to start your homework. Then you realize that you forgot to go check your Snapchat story. You take your phone out. After a while of commenting others pics, you check the time at your phone. 9:00. Mom calls, “Kids! Dinner is ready!”. You run to the dining table, where you see Mom carrying that mouth watering steak. You take your time eating, enjoying this sizzling dinner. After the gourmet feast, you go back to your homework table and glance at the clock. 9:45. You start working on your pre algebra worksheet. A notification from YouTube appears on your phone, saying that the new episode of your favorite T.V. show just came out! You go on the laptop and watch the episode. After that tragic ending, you text your bestie to help you overcome what just happened. After calling your BFF, you glance at the clock. 10:30! “OH MY GOD!”, you scream. There is no time to do your homework! After finishing your worksheet, you realize that you have an essay due tomorrow for a major grade! Once you finish all your assignments, you look at the clock. 12:30. Sigh.

As you can see by that very stressful, very nerve-wrecking paragraph, you can see why it is very important to do your assignments early. Time flies by very fast. Time is extremely precious. From now on, if you come home from school and start watching T.V., just look at the quote! After all, just “Do it now. Sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never’!

  25. This quote personally means a lot to me, because if anything, I’m a professional procrastinator. There’s always huge projects that I do the night before, or assignment (like this one) that I keep putting off and then go past the deadline. However, none of these become ‘laters’ become nevers, simply because there’s a due date on most, if not all of them. If there’s anything that can get me to submit an assignment, it’s a deadline. This might seem foolproof, except what about outside of school? What about extra-curricular activities and personal goals? These don’t have a definite deadline, if any at all. We must make decisions every day, it’s only natural that we keep on putting important and intimidating things off, until maybe we missed our chance.
Let’s take an example. Say Allison. It’s Ally’s first year in middle school, and she’s considering to try out for the girls’ volleyball team. She almost does, but as tryouts roll around, she starts hearing of the ‘demon’ coaches and the long days and nights filled with vigorous training. She gets scared, and decides not to attend tryouts. “I’ll do it next year, when I get better at volleyball.” Is what she thinks to herself as she catches her bus home.
Now Allison is in 7th grade, and before she knows it, tryouts are rolling around again. This time, instead of hubbub about the coaches, she hears tall tales of the amazing players that are trying out, and how they’re bound to make the team. Once again, Ally gets discouraged, and doesn’t go to tryouts.
“I’ll have better luck next year, the players will change next year, for sure.”
By now, Ally is unlikely able to get in since she’s now in 8th grade, but she makes it to tryouts this time. Frazzled by nerves and anxiety, her performance is at best, average, and she’s expected to not make the cut, but her heart still sinks when her name is absent from the team list.
Now, going into her freshman year of high school, Ally doesn’t even glance at tryouts, too disheartened to even consider going.
This is an example of what this quote means to me. Putting and putting things off, until there’s no more time to put them off, and you end up abandoning them, along with your hopes and dreams. It’s now or never, so pick one, and stick with it.
A quote that I think correlates with this one is, “Aim for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land amongst the stars” – Les Brown. This quote states that it’s okay to dream big, because the bigger you dream, the more opportunities you have. If you aim for a doctorate degree, even if it takes you years and year to get it, you still have your masters and bachelors. There’s more benefits that come with dreaming big than just achieving the dream itself. There’s the experience, and more, but you’ll get none if you keep telling yourself, ‘later’.

  27. Waiting till the last minute to finish a project that was assigned two weeks ago is my specialty and I’m not proud of it. But, it’s not my fault, well not entirely. Parents and teachers need to understand that as a teenager of the 21st century, it’s hard to be social, outgoing and punctual. Yes it’s true that it’s up to us to manage our time and to focus on our priorities. However, it’s not as easy as some think. Being social is not required in order for one to stay alive, but in today’s world, if you want to fit in, you have to keep updated to trends. One doesn’t have to be outgoing either, but then it’s the parents who complain about their kids being shy and cranky. And as for being punctual, it’s nearly impossible with what the school load us with. There’s about five worksheets of homework every night for which we have to show work for everything. Then comes the quizzes and the tests, not to mention the novel long essays. With all this work, how does teachers expect their students to work on the projects as well. Schoolwork isn’t the only thing that makes things hard, it’s also the chores and after school classes, and their projects. It’s all too hard for a 12 year old to handle.
With all these chores, responsibilities, and work, I still work on and finish my project by the deadline, most of the time. Nevertheless, I shouldn’t complain of how much I get.Instead I should work even harder if I want to achieve anything in life. This quote represents every student and their projects and handing the projects in on deadlines, but this quote has many meanings. All that depends on is how one tries to perceive it.
I’ve seen and met many who are so busy in life that they don’t actually get to enjoy this world and all that it has to offer. While others who used to be busy are now regretful because they kept postponing their dreams just to provide a living or make others happy. The other day, I was going through my mom’s old diaries and school reports with her when I came across a sheet of paper folded so many times. So I grabbed and unfolded the paper to see adventures and wishes and dreams which my mom’s eyes still hold, but she hides them so well just for me, my family. She became just a loving mother, a caring wife, a responsible daughter and overall a person whose heart beats for everyone that it forgot to beat for her. All her life she kept saying, I’ll go to the great wall of China or I’ll sit below the cherry blossoms in Japan and enjoy tea, but she kept putting those dreams and wishes aside and now it’s nearly impossible for her to do that. This quote touches me a lot and I’ll make my parents’ and my dreams come true before we’re all at the age when life is nothing but a regret. That’s why one should never say sometimes later because it’s most likely that it’ll become never.

  28. This is kind of funny because I am kind of in that situation right now. I swore I’d do this on April first but t that point later was turning into never. However, I bounched back today after seeing my grade went from an A to a b+. The current issue we have with this is that this quote is not at all followed. I admit it myself, I rarely go by this quote and follow what it says. Its called procrastination. We say that oh, Ill do it later or oh Ill do it soon, but that ends up turning into it never happening. Life is full of that. Things never happening when they are planned to happen is bound to happen. People just don’t always live up to their words. However, if you take the time and effort to do it at a certain timestamp rather than delaying it on yourself, it will be so much more productive. We forget, we commit sins, we set ourselves to something we will never really be able to handle or interface. At times though, we think to ourselves , wait isn’t this due tomorrow, and then we rush to get it done, and our entire project turns into a piece of ugliness. Some get sick of those games, where you are stuck in between pretty and ugly, unknowing of what really is to come within future moments. However, in those moments you only have yourself to blame, you were the one who caused all of this because of your laziness. That is why we tend to look for or randomly select someone else to take the blame for us. That is basically our entire life, just setting goals soon to be crushed by the biggest problem of them all, it starts with the letter p, procrastination.
Humans were born to procrastinate. Not one can fight the urge, unless they did everything right when they got the assignment or project which people do attempt, but then they save it for last minute for no reason. One night we’ll just wake up to an unfinished item due in 5 hours. This is when we put in an effort, but usually that effort doesn’t really pay off. The honest idea that this brings to the table is that humans are carefree for any other tas than the one they are doing then and there. It is like they are blind to the future of the world. We never have all the time in the world and sometimes we aren’t even sure there will be a tomorrow. Diseases, killings, unexpected accidents, and other unfortunate seem to happen to the least expected. We must learn that concept. We are told to do so much, but only a certain group of students. When you feel something you get the I want it now feeling, but that feeling never stays with you. Us as humans of this world need to stop worrying about our present, and start worrying about the future.

  29. I cannot tell you how many times this has happen to me. The quote Do it now, Sometimes later, Becomes never, I can relate to it in so many ways. The countless number of assignments that I say, “Oh i have a week to do this I will be fine.” One week later “Oh no this is due tomorrow and it’s 8:30 when will I be able to finish this.” Even though I finish the assignment I have to live with only like 6 hours of sleep and stress the next day like it don’t even care. With only that amount of sleep and low amounts of real concentration it's hard to live the type of life that I live. That's why I have managed my time to fit my schedule and the amount of homework that I have. Even with that it still happens to me. That is why I try to isolate myself from other distractions like TV, Youtube, and hangouts(Yes, i’m calling all my friends out who bother me on hangouts so yeah). This is how that kind of work turns into. First I get homework thats due maybe a week later. Then I will do the basic like research part of it then I will be so busy that if the work is given to me on Monday, it is Friday already. Usually I have these mental checklist which I make sure I have everything for tomorrow or in this case next week. I would think like, “Block 1: No Homework, Block 2: Worksheet and Study Island Topic:Check, Block 3: No homework, and Block 4: Woodbridge Post: NOT DONE!!!! NEED TO DO NOW” So now by the time i'm out of my checklist I already opened my backpack and have my computer open ready to type a five paragraph essay. Most likely that day I will be not getting much sleep and hopefully getting a good grade. Personally I want to start being ahead of schedule than be behind it.
To all the people who are listening to this quote the first time I would say don’t do what I have done and do the opposite. The earlier you know how to manage your time and be on top of your schedule the better you will be in the future. Also like the previous quote like Don’t be afraid to fail, if you have done this mistake and kept work for the last minute than learn from your mistake and don't make the mistake again. So in conclusion this quote should inspire people to actually do homework even though everyone hates it.

Every time I have a project or a homework assignment that is due over a certain period of time, I always think to myself “ I’ll just do it tomorrow, I still have so many days to do it.” But, time goes by so fast that I don’t even realize it. And before I know it, it’s the last day to turn in the assignment and I still haven't started. This happens to me all the time. “Do it now. Sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never’”. This quote is very true when I think about it a little more. There are so many distractions around me that every time I actually want to do something they always come in my ways. They never let me complete things before hand. And believe it or not, I have a month to do something and I am always trying to finish it the day before it is due. This past week, I had to do a Civics essay. I had about a month to finish an essay. But, I kept saying to myself that I would do it tomorrow, and it was the last day before the essay was due, and I was up still trying to finish it. But, if I decided to start the essay earlier I wouldn't have had to do it at the last minute. I think this quote is really true. And this is the exact reason I stay after school and finish my math homework. If I come home, I wouldn’t even start my homework until like six. But, when I stay after school, I finish all my homework even before I get home. When I get home I get really distracted and I don’t even think about starting the things that are due a week or two from now. I think that it is a very bad habit that I don’t manage my work from before. I think from now on I should start doing a little each day and by the last day I would be all finished and I wouldn't even have to worry about anything. I think from now on I should try not to be lazy and actually start what I have to do and not wait until the last day. I think that it would take away a lot of stress because if I save something until the last day I might get stressed out.
