  1. People always say that dreams really can come true, and I believe if you try hard enough they can. First, you must dream big, and think about what you want. From young ages people start dreaming, and they dream up until old age. I’ve always been an imaginative person, so I’ve thought about how I want parts of my life to be, and certain details of them. Right now, in middle school, I can’t do everything I want. I’m still a kid, so I can’t go off and live by myself, and be fully independent. I still have to attend school, but there are some things that I can do. One of my middle school dreams is to be president of the 8th grade class. At graduation, you get to make a speech, and I think that’s really great, and an amazing memory. I don’t have many other dreams for middle school, because I’ve accomplished most of the things I wanted to. When I was entering middle school, I wanted to get onto the Academic Challenge Team and National Junior Honor Society. In 6th grade, I was on the Academic Challenge Team, and this year I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.

Since high school hasn’t come yet, that means I couldn’t have had a high school dream come true yet. One of these dreams is being inducted into the National Honor Society. I think it’s a very big honor to be in it, and I’ve wanted to be in it for years. I’d also like to get a job when I turn sixteen, but I haven’t figured out what I want to do yet. I’d also like to get my driver’s license once I turn seventeen. I’d overall like to be involved in many things, but not too much to overwhelm myself. I haven’t decided where exactly I want to go to college, but I would like it to be a campus near a city. In college, I dream to have a nice roommate who gets along with me, and a group of friends that isn’t too many or too little. I hope that I have interesting classes, with people I enjoy being with. Overall I dream that it’s a welcoming environment with a good community.

As I grow up, I have many choices to make, from my job to my family. I’ve thought about what job I would like to have, but I haven’t decided what I think I’ll do. Over the years, it’s ranged from a hairstylist to an emcee. Yet, I never really found anything that I really loved. I think that as I move onto high school and college, I’ll discover something that I really do love. When it comes to family, I’ve definitely thought about it, but not into exact detail. I want to marry a guy that’s kind, intelligent, and loves kids. I want to have three children, which will be two twin girls, and then a son that is younger than the twins. I haven’t thought of what I would name them. I dream to live in a nice house, with my husband and three kids. I don’t know if all of my dreams will come true, but I hope most of them do.

Everyone has a dream many are different from one another but there are some that are the same. Even if your dream is small it is just as important as any others. There are a few different people who just can't seem to be able to choose a dream. That is why some people end up having multiple dreams. There are also people who can't even think of a dream and have no dream just making them up on the spot. That's the category I'm probably in.

But just because I can't think of any dream doesn't mean I can't have one. Now that I think of it I do have a couple of dreams throughout my life. During middle school my dream is to some how get into academic school. I want to do this in order to achieve a different dream that i will talk about later. This isn't the only thing I want to do in middle school I've always wanted to get a hundred in a subject with the help of rounding. What I mean by that is if I get a 99.51 in any subject then the grade would round up to 100. Now my high school dream is to get a gpa of at least 4.7 so that I can aim for my next dream. Without this dream and that other dream about academic school this next dream can't be achieved by me. Now for the main dream I have been waiting for my college dream. I have a dream college in mind and my parents said that in order to get into my dream college I need a good gpa and need to be in academic school.

Now for my dream college I have always wanted to go to Princeton university. The reason I'm going to Princeton is because when I first heard the name it sounded cool. That is the only solid foundation I have for going to college. Then a few years later I found out it was in the top ten colleges making me want to go to it even more than ever I couldn’t be stopped. So then I decided to work hard in order to achieve it. Now for my work life dreams I don’t really know a thing about what I want to be when I grow up my mom wants me to be a doctor while my dad wants me to be an aeronautic space engineer. Neither sounds interesting to me so I don’t want to do either but then again there is only so much time to try and work hard for these goals if I don’t start thinking about them now then I will be in a big situation when I grow up.

So overall I guess I do have a few dreams I will have to work hard to achieve. But the biggest hassle of all of them will be getting into Princeton because I will have to get a good gpa study real hard and try my best to get into academic school. But while I am doing all that I cannot forget about the undecided dream about my work life. Well I guess I always have time later.

  4. Dreams are forever...never stop dreaming or believing in them. Do you have a big, amazing, crazy dream? The kind of dream you don't tell people because they may think you are out of my mind? Maybe you want to travel the whole world, invent, be an excellent doctor or lawyer, or you want to change the world, fight for human rights, work at NASA, or simply just be happy, you have the chance to achieve it. Believe in yourself and in your dream and you can change the world and have the life that you want to live. Even if people will think you are crazy, never stop believing that you can achieve your dream, nobody has the right to stop you from dreaming. Dreams are hope and ideas of a perfect life.

Over the years of my life, thus far, I have learned to live the life of my dreams. If we have a dream, we have the chance to fulfill it. My middle school dreams were a small portion of my much larger ideas and thoughts about my future. In middle school, I indeed wanted to get into Honors, get inducted into the National Junior Honors Society, obtain a perfect 850 on at least the math portion of the PARCC, and so on and so forth. But these, I have already managed to achieve, and the most terrifying part of middle school is yet to approach….8th grade. Next year, I choose to believe, decides your position in advanced placement (AP) classes and rank in freshman year of high school. My lifelong dream is and will always be to get accepted into the Middlesex Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering.

As some may know, I have recently acknowledged or decided that I want to be an Architectural Engineering Manager when I grow up. In 6th grade, I was lucky enough to receive project STEM as one of my primary electives, and surprisingly, at the beginning of the year. Throughout the class period, we would design and build contraptions that would have the strongest base, hold as the tallest structure, or be the most creative. As we developed through the principles of engineering, the class entered a national competition called Future City where middle school students build a “future city,” to the eye of the beholder. People have many different paths to choose from in life, and when my team entered as one of the top 5 finalists in our class, I finally realized that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Fortunately, the Academy gave me a chance to do that and significantly launch my career forward. On the contrast, all I can do now is do my best at school, keep that positive discipline and attendance record, and move on forward….

I have concluded that I want to get into Princeton University, an Ivy League college that selects only the brightest and smartest students in the country. Princeton has been my dream for as long as I can remember and I never once believed in letting that dream go. Every once in a while, I would think about my family, job, and life intertwined with each other. When it comes to family, I have always pictured a guy who loves engineering, architecture, or the medical field just as much as I do. I’d fall into one of the women who marry within their profession. He’d be polite, smart, and fit into my category of “Prince Charming.” We’d have three kids, an older sister to two boys, not necessarily twins. I’d picture my girl looking over her brothers, but most importantly, I’d really want to name her Ruby, a name I have always thought to be special and unique from the rest. I would raise my kids to follow into either mine or “my husband’s” footsteps into picking a job, or a career, that they would treasure for the rest of their lives. I would want to look back when I have my own grandchildren to pass on my stories for generations to come.

From this, there is one thing I can surmise. If all your dreams don’t scare you, you aren’t dreaming enough at all. My parents had told me that their very own parents told them to let their dreams stay big, and their worries small. As John Lennon once said, "maybe I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."

  5. We all have dreams. We have dreams during the night when we are sleeping. I once dreamt that I won the Mega Million jackpot, but when I woke up I realized it was just a dream. But I am not talking about those dreams. I am talking about the dreams or goals people have about achieving or acquiring. All people dream about something in their lives. When we were kids we wanted to be something that was ‘fun’ like being superman or batman. As ridiculous as it is, that is what young kids dream about. I for one wanted to be ‘The Flash’ when I was a little kid. Over time as we grow and become older, our dreams change. But we should never stop dreaming. As kids grow and learn more and more about the world, these dreams change and become more and more realistic. As I grew older, my dreams changed from fantasies to more fun and realistic things like being a cashier at a store or being a clown at a circus. Though these dreams sound a bit boring to me now, in my younger days, I thought these jobs to be very fun and exhilarating. Dreams come in all shapes and sizes, big dreams and small dreams. A person can have dreams as ambitious as becoming the President of the United States of America to dreams as simple as learning to ride a bike. But no matter how ambitious or simple a dream is, you should always work your hardest to accomplish it.

Last year I dreamt of getting accepted into the National Junior Honor Society, and making it into the school volleyball team. Both of which I accomplished this year. And now as I am almost finished with my second year of middle school, my dreams have changed even more, and I now want to be either a neurosurgeon or a soccer player. But who knows what I will dream about when I enter my high school years. Maybe my dreams will stay exactly the same, or maybe they will completely change. But the point here is to never stop dreaming.

The road to accomplishing our dreams will not be very easy. It will be filled with obstacles, and one of the biggest obstacles that we must overcome is losing faith and letting go of our dreams. There comes a point in our life where we lose hope and faith that our dreams will ever become a reality. Overcoming this obstacle is the most important step to accomplishing our dreams. We should know that no matter how difficult and outrageous our dreams sound, if we work hard to accomplish those dreams, we will achieve them. Many people give up on their dreams for a very simple reason. They are afraid of failure and being humiliated because they did not accomplish their dreams. If you fail to accomplish your dreams do not give up. If you failed the first time, come back stronger the second time and keep trying until you do finally accomplish what you have been aiming for. One of the most prominent examples of a person who had a dream and worked toward fulfilling it is Martin Luther King Jr. He had a dream to unite the country and give civil rights for all American citizens. Through his hard and nonviolent protests, he achieved his dream and made racism and discrimination a crime in today’s society. He gave, just as he wanted, his children and their children rights to be treated equally as every other citizen who walks on this great land of the United States of America. We should NEVER stop dreaming and working to accomplish our dreams.

  6. Turns out, I'm a really good actor and a musician. A guitarist to be be specific and I do best when it comes to comedy and making others laugh. I like to do these things. For me, they're like my hobbies. And some of us, like me, we treat these hobbies like our future depends on. For me, I treat them like goals and I do think that I can have a career in one of these areas. Same goes to others who do an extra-curricular. If you really put your mind to something, you can achieve them. I treat these goals as dreams and like the quote states, " never let go of your dreams," I'll make sure I do that.

Many people dream. They mostly come in your sleep, unless we're daydreamers. Which I'm pretty sure we're not. But in the quote, it didn't mean your sleep dreams. It means our goals. I mean come on! Why would we ever chase our dreams of riding a unicorn.

Not all dreams (goals) are important. Some are extremely unimportant and ridiculously stupid. Dreams are meant to motivate and inspire rather than to hurt you in any way possible. I mean, look at Martin Luther King.

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal'" (MLK, I have a dream).

His dream led to a free nation where everyone is treated equally and there is no discrimination or segregation. See my point, that some dreams are important and not irrelevant.

Overtime our dreams change. When I was younger, I wished I could grow up to be a superhero like spiderman. So I would go around playing pretend throughout the house and pretend like I was a little version of Peter Parker himself. Now, even though these action superhero movies are really inspiring those pretend dreams never stick to us as we grow older and mature. Now my only dream is to go into some acting career. I mean if I try harder, I can actually achieve my dreams.

I will be able to achieve my dreams if I never let go of them. So from now on, I'm gonna go around carrying my guitar so I don't let go of my dream for becoming a professional guitarist if I ever decide to become a musician. DON'T WORRY! I'm only joking around. But seriously, in order to achieve our dreams, we have to grab onto them and by that I mean that we can keep on trying harder to achieve them. If I stopped playing my and guitar and quit practicing, how can I ever achieve my dream of being a professional musician? The same goes for everyone else who has different goals.

But I really think that the quote, "never let go of your dreams," is really important thing and should have an effect on us. I'm not sure about others but this quote basically describes my path for a successful future. But one thing is for certain, you should never stop dreaming, whether it is a goal or an actual dream. But just make sure it isn't a nightmare.

Dreams. Everyone has them. Whether it is to attend Yale University during the college portion of life, to become a fashion designer, or to become the first female president of the United States of America. Whether it is to eat durian, see the Northern Lights in Iceland, or something even as obscene as mutating into a rhinoceros. These are all dreams, and while at first glance, some seem next to impossible, they are quite the contrary. They all can be accomplished, with some a little, others with a lot, of determination and persistence. You will need to put both your mind and heart to it, and actually work towards it. This means that just laying back and letting someone else lead your life will not be the most efficient way to tackle the situation.

There are two types of dreams, one that appears in your head and seems right in front of your eyes at both periods of dark and light, and the kind that you're deeply think about in your free time and are yearning towards. Most of the time, it is the latter dream that seems a bit more possible, but both are, with the appropriate amount of work behind it.

Since most of my left is yet to be gone through, I am able to have stacks and stacks of dreams. First, starting with the middle school stage of my life, which is the part that I am living through right now: last year, it was a huge dream of mine to get selected into NJHS, and I was immensely delighted when I did get selected. This though, did not come easily. It required my grades to be in tip top shape in both 6th and 7th grade, and stay in tip-top shape, so that I would not be in the risk of being in probation and kicked out. Next, the application had to be well written, so my writing skills had to be near to perfection. When I was writing my application, I am pretty frightened, and was thinking that my writing did not stand to their expectations, and that made me scrap everything multiple times, until it came to the point of whether handing it in or not.

Moving on from the past, there is still another stage of middle school - 8th grade. That will be my last year before the huge shift to high school, where every move will be watched and counted toward my future. This alone suggests that I have multiple dreams for this grade level. I need to get keep my place in NJHS, obtain and withhold good grades in all subjects, and the hardest - being prepared for the huge upgrade -. This is the only way that my future will be in my hands, and not dangling from another's.

When the huge switch of schools does occur, that is when I need to take my future more serious than ever. I am going to need to be in multiple AP classes, and improve all my skills, which are going to be very profitable to the older version of me.

When it finally is time for the college aspect, my dreams are very varied towards that. Unlike a few of my peers, I have numerous colleges that I wish to be accepted into: Stanford University, Princeton University, and Harvard University. Being accepted into any one of these three colleges will require huge deals of effort, and determination, and as from many individuals’ experiences, it isn’t easy. They are high ranked colleges which would be very beneficial to be accepted into, not to mention: a huge honor, and thus, they only accept those who are the best of the best.

Last but not least, a huge part of my dreams are stored for my career and life during that period. While I am not totally sure of my career, I do have a few dreams on that, but they are obstructed with my parents views. Both of them want to me to be either in the medical field or an engineer in the technology field. At first, my thoughts were an absolute no to both of these, and my younger years were spent looking up to my teachers and wanting to be like them. A teacher. My parents had infinite talks about that, and thinking towards my future, I finally had agreed with them. That was not the profession I was yearning for. Currently, my dreams are to be either an engineer or a lawyer, both of which I am quite interested in, so it is up to my current self to bring me to that stage.

I need to dream, and dream big, never letting them float away from my head and heart.

Dreams have no limits, they can be as wild as jumping on a trampoline on Mt. Everest or as simple as owning a pink SUV. I have multiple dreams and I have seen them change as my priorities change. When I was a child, dreaming the most impractical things was very cheerful and some of those very impractical dreams, I have held on to. Becoming the president or prime minister of India was one. Dreams don’t cost you anything, then why to hesitate.

My dreams, ambitions, goals are simple as well as difficult. Although, I haven’t ever had a definite dream. Not yet in my life have I had a dream that has made me so extremely passionate towards it. I always await for that one day, one moment when I realize what I want to do in my life. As of now I have several goals but goals are something you are sure to achieve. A dream is called a dream because for them to be fulfilled, efforts, sometimes immense efforts are required.

I wish my dream life to be as perfect as possible. Now everyone has a different perspective of perfect, I believe. My interpretation of perfect is health, happiness, and completion. I want to remain healthy for myself and my family. I wish to have immense happiness everyday, minimal worries, low stress, lots of adventures, and frequent challenges - all of these fall under my definition of happiness. Completion as in fullness in life, a good career, a happy and complete family, and a portion of everything in life - challenges, fun times, little but some grief. As everyone, I wish for a my own house - a big condo. A stable yet a life with luxuries.

As for my college dreams, I have always heard that College is the time when your life changes, major things happen. Well, I want to find a genuine bestie who will stick around with me as my partner in crime for life. I want to meet this one best friend who will always be there no matter what. Not just for saying that but for real! I want my college life to be as fun as possible - happening adventures and awesome challenges! I prefer not be detailed, I want to be surprised.

I see my work life as a career I will grow from. My dream careers have changed repeatedly, leaving me undecided of my ideal career. So far, it was president of India (I was a kid ok!), interior designer, entrepreneur of some kind of wacky invention, a nutritionist, and a fashion designer. From all of those I shortlisted, interior designer, entrepreneur of some kind of wacky invention, and a fashion designer. I want to enjoy, learn and grow in my work. Of Course, I want to make money, too but that comes after all three of these. Somehow I’ve always had this amazingly impossible notion that I should have two careers - one for a living and another for happiness/enjoyment. And as I get older I find this concept more impossible yet intriguing.

Everyone has an image of their adult life which connects to their dream work life. My image is pretty fancy. My career should be stable by 22, a complete family by 25, CEO or founder of whatever job I do by 30, and a happy retirement at 70. Not so impossible right?

My dreams are sky high but my will power is endless. When I find that one thing that I want to become, I will be unstoppable.

  11. Everyone has dreams, either big or small. Whether it is to try a $1,000 ice cream sundae, see the glow worm caves in New Zealand, start a charity, or become an astrophysicist, dreams can always be achieved. Some simply require more work than others. Achieving your dreams is essential to leading a happy, well spent life, but they won't occur without hard work and determination.

My middle school dreams were to be in honors and have my design selected to be the IMS Coding Club logo. I also wanted to be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society, which was not easy. First, I had to maintain excellent grades. After that, I had to fill out the application to the best of my abilities. While writing, I feared that I didn't meet the standard and expectations and thus would not be accepted, so learning that I did, in fact, meet the requirements was a relief. All of these dreams have been accomplished. At the moment, I don't have any dreams for 8th grade, but if I have any, I hope to accomplish them as well.

There are several dreams I have for high school. First of all, I'd like to be inducted into the National Honor Society. I also want to get a job and be involved in many things, such as charity work. Another thing I've wanted to do is create video games. By video games, I don't mean detailed games that take around four years to finish, but rather small, simple ones that are still entertaining and can be done in around a month. Coding has been an interest of mine for a while, and going on to make games would be a good step forward. Being a digital artist and have others purchase my work is another dream I have. This way, I could earn more money by doing something I enjoy. I've always wanted to attend Harvard University, an Ivy League college. When I lived in Massachusetts, I visited the area, and since then it's been a dream of mine to be accepted there. Being accepted would be a huge honor as well as beneficial to my life after college. However, in order to achieve this dream, I have to work hard and earn straight A's in AP classes to maintain a good GPA.

When I was younger my dream job was to be a fashion designer. Over time, I became more interested in writing and wanted to become an author. At the moment, I would like to become an environmental engineer. I first heard about the job in fifth grade at G&T. I've always wanted to help improve the environment, and when I learned that a STEM job aimed at that existed, I knew that was what I want my future career to be. Apart from my work life, I'd like to travel the world and raise a family.

None of these dreams can or could be achieved without hard work. Life gives you many opportunities, but it's up to you to make the most of them.

  12. Dreams - G&T 500 Words for April

    By: Krish Desai

Everyone has dreams, whether big or small, short-term or long-term, these dreams make up a part of us. Our dreams make up a huge part of us because our dreams are the driving force behind us. Dreams are our ambition and inspiration to succeed in life. Dreams are in both our hearts and in our heads. If you have a strong desire to finish your dreams and you follow through with them, then you will probably live a happy life as you are doing things that make you happy. Even when it seems impossible to finish your dream, keep going because quitted dreams are just a waste of thought and time. Try to achieve your dreams to the fullest of your potential. Broken dreams will just drag you down in life and since life is short you must live it to the fullest. Achieving your dreams whether small or big will not only give you happiness but also courage and motivation to achieve other dreams. Dreams have a big impact on both your life and who you are.

My dreams are constantly changing based on what opportunities I have and the choices I am exposed to. Since my dreams are constantly changing and I am constantly tweaking them, my dream life is also changing. I may want to become a professional soccer player one day and then I find out that acting is something more fun and enjoyable for me. At that point, my dreams have changed from soccer player to actor. This exact thing has happened to me in the past. First, my dreams were to become a professional athlete, but when I realized that I like acting better, my dreams changed to like acting over sports.

Currently, my middle school dreams are to score high grades, yet still, have fun. This dream is coming along quite nicely as for the moment. I get to play as much as I get to learn and I hope it can stay this way. I also hope to end my procrastination as many times I just leave everything to the last second. For example, there may be a huge project due tomorrow and I won’t even start until 6:00! This delay is just 100% laziness from me. One final dream that I currently have is to get a level 5 (highest level possible) on both Mathematics and Language Arts on the PARCC test, and I hope to finish this goal as it will boost my confidence on other tests.

  13. (Continuing from last post)

My high school dreams are to try and get in as many extracurricular activities that I like, such as soccer or coding, get into National Junior Honor Society, and also gain enough knowledge for my career and college choice, so the decision won’t be as tough. A few other dreams would include scoring a perfect grade on my SAT and accumulating as many college credits as possible. This will help pay off any college debt and also motivate me to do more as I am capable of it. I also want my driver’s license, that way I can drive to the places I want to go. I would like to be a pretty good coder at this point in time as I want to become a computer engineer when I grow up. I need to learn at least the basics of coding if I want to get anywhere with a computer, therefore I need to set goals for myself so I can be prepared.

College is going to be a serious part of my life, so I have big dreams. First off, my dream college will be either Harvard or MIT and if not, I hope for at least an IVY League college. If all fails, I can always go for Rutgers. My dream is that I come out of college ready for a job with computers, that way I can be accepted in most companies. I would like to get a doctorate degree, that way I can earn more money getting out of college, compared to someone who only has a masters or bachelors. I want to come out of college prepared to take on any obstacle that is thrown at me.

Finally, my adult life dreams. In my adult life, I would like to be smart and hopefully rich. I would like to travel to many places (especially Switzerland because I like the chocolate they have there). A mansion and sports car would be nice, and I would like to relax while living the luxurious life. I mainly just want a happy life in my adulthood. I would have liked for me to have helped a lot of people and make their lives easier. I would have also hoped for a great achievement or award for something that I have done. I would like to be either an actor, comedian, software engineer, pilot, or finally a lawyer. I have always liked acting, and being an actor would be fun to do. I have always been told by some family members and friends that I would be a natural actor as I understand most aspects of acting. A comedian would also be nice as I have always loved to make people laugh, becoming a comedian, I could make thousands, if not millions happy each and every day. I want to become a software engineer (or at least hardware) because I have always liked coding and computers. My father also works with computers and watching him, I would like to become one too. I have always liked flying, so becoming a pilot couldn’t hurt. Finally, I would like to become a lawyer if all else fails, because I am really good at persuading and debating. Finally, I would have liked to have invented something or created something that really has changed the world for the better.

My dreams will constantly be changing and new dreams will also be added into my mind and/or heart. I will continuously try to follow my dreams and never quit upon them. If there is no way, I will make a way. I will never stop dreaming because as Albert Einstein once said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” Dreams are a part of my imagination, and since imagination is endless, so are my dreams. I know that one day, all my dreams will come true. As long as I keep dreaming and following my most favorite dreams, I can make them a reality. I will NEVER stop dreaming, and nor should anyone else and I will always try to achieve my dreams, even if they are said to be "impossible".

  14. Many people tenderly assume that dreams are simply common happenings, and have nothing to impact our lives in a way so significant. However, I believe that to be false; what we believe in most certainly has a weight in our everyday lives. It may seem as though dreams have no effect on us as a whole, but I think the complete opposite.
Dreams are not always the stereotypical ones, where you are subconscious while sleeping. There is also a type of dream that focuses on prominent life goals. For me, one of those are to make it to the Academic School, instead of a regular high school. It seems like a big goal to strive for, but with the right GPA, grades, and class effort, I feel that anything can happen if the right attempt is made. In my perspective, I personify my claim in this way: with a loaf of bread and yeast. If the right amount of yeast is not added to the bread, then the bread would not rise properly as it should. This can easily relate to life goals and dreams. If not worked hard to earn, then the chances of that hope would significantly drop.
A college dream I hope to attain successfully is admission into one of the eight highly prestigious Ivy League Universities. They are very hard to get into, and they require the utmost dedication in order to get admitted into. How would I ever stand a chance at this? I believe that the simplest way of doing so is by taking smaller steps, or goals, to paint the bigger one yet to come in the distant future. For example, if I want to become a doctor in the future (or any other high honored profession), then I would need to take “baby steps” to reach the long-term goal. Albeit the fact that people think that we must only strive towards major goals, we must also strive for minor ones as well. I would think of small stages such as honor roll and exceptional grades to majorly impact our future. For example, when I made the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) last month, I kept thinking that, though these accomplishments deserve praise, I am only depicting my future with what I accomplish right now.
Finally, an adult work life dream I hope to attain is one where I work successfully as an IT (Information Technology) consultant, or a computer engineer. Since both of these choices are relatively similar in job description, either of them satisfy me. Another factor I would like to have in my future adult life is a lot of travelling. I may have not been to many places around the globe, but that is the reason why: I favor travelling because I get to experience so many different things. This is solely what makes my adult life dream more vivid and enhanced.
In conclusion, dreams are not what you may think they are. There should never be a reason to stop dreaming, because if viewed in the philosophical way, our fate in our lives all depend on our intention of doing. Even when there are hard times, I acknowledge them well and know that dreaming on helps us all carry on. In short, dreams are mankind’s unknown benevolence they have in their lives.

Everyone has dreams, you can give them names like goals, ambitions, targets, aims and what not. Everyone wants to achieve something in life, and no one should let it go. If you have ever truly dreamed of becoming something, having something, or doing something, I have an advice, you should simply just go for it. Most of the times, it would need a lot of courage, dedication and hard work, but you have to put both, your mind as well as your heart to it. Your perseverance and steadfastness will get you through it.  You won’t always get what you want, or become what you dream of, but that is no reason to let go of your dream. You simply just have to try again until you succeed. This is where the quote “Never let go of your dreams” comes in. Through all of life’s hardships, you have to be resilient and be able to conquer life. You have to pursue your dream life.
This quote, “Never let go of your dreams,” can be misinterpreted, it doesn’t mean that you absolutely have to hold on to your dream from when you were 5, it means that you have to keep dreaming, and once you have something in mind, you have to chase it until both your mind and heart have changed their purpose. It means that you shouldn’t forget to dream, because your dreams are what make you. They build up what you are. Your short term goals lead up to the long term ones. For example, a dream of aceing that final in science leads to a dream of becoming a doctor, and that is what makes you. My long term dreams are obscure to me right now, I don’t know what I want to become when I grow up. Like most of the people I know, my dreams have been changing every year. When I was 7 (probably) I wanted to be astronaut, when was 9 (most likely) I wanted to be a teacher, when I was 10 I wanted to be a lawyer, and now that I am 13, I want to be a doctor. And right now I will work towards that dream, do everything in my power to make it happen. I won’t let go of it until I know becoming a doctor isn’t for me.
Dreams are what bring happiness in our lives. They give us a purpose and when we fulfill it, we are content. We are happy. Dreams are what bring us opportunities, they bring us more options. If we didn’t have dreams, we would be a giant mess, shooting around everywhere, aimlessly, with nothing in mind! But we HAVE dreams and we should never and we should never stop dreaming, or let go of them because people tell you to. Only YOU can tell yourself if it is time to let go a dream, and only YOU can make your dreams happen. You shouldn’t give up on dreams to soon, if you do, you will know it, it is only going to leave you unhappy. And when it is the right time to let go of your dream, you will know it as well, just wait for the right time.

  16. Your entire life is spent thinking on how you can extend it into a better one. Dreams are formed thanks to that aspect of life. Some are made for your early years such as getting straight A’s or making an elite group. In middle school I had those dreams for sixth and seventh grade, and in eighth, I am probably going to have even bigger, realistic dreams in eighth grade that are small and very possible. As of now however, I really cannot fluctuate anything I would want to accomplish in the 8th grade. There is less to do due to the fact you already basically did everything in the other years that you were in Middle School.
High school is a whole different story than middle school though. There focus is key, and the dreams you make then can impact you on your whole life. It’s not just a time to stress yourself with studying or just party till you faint, but you need to do everything that you possibly can. Time management is key. In High School I look to at least be in Beta Club, National Honors Society, become a competitive gamer, and just go beyond my normal expectations and lower life in middle school. There is so much to think about in High school. Above all, I would like to get a perfect score on my SAT. High school is a time to set yourself in either the perfect path in life, or doom yourself to be depressed. High school also holds smaller goals for me like making the basketball team at whichever high school I attend.
College on the other hand probably consists of the most peaceful years of your life depending on how you handle it. In college I dream to experience true love for the first time. I am hoping she will have dreams like me, considering she will probably be in the same exact field as me. Life is almost set during this time, and the only thing you really have to do is edit the final factors. The main dream I have for college is though, to understand life and finally get what I want to teach my kids, understand what the true meaning of life is, finally get why everything happens the way it does. Basically, I want to figure everything out and plan my life in the best way possible.
Then we are done with our educational years, and finally get to have peace in life. Well I won’t as if life goes according to my dreams, I will be a successful Java Developer that has everything he wants in life. I also dream to one day be able to pass everything I learned on this day down to my 2 kids. It may not seem like a great place, but I would just love to settle in California. It has so many opportunities and depending on where you live weather can be a factor that can literally be ignored. Dream big.

  17. Never let go of your dreams

I have a question for you. What was your favorite dream as a child? I’ll tell you mine, even though it might sound very funny and embarrassing. Okay, here it goes… my dream was a to be Cinderella. (This is the part where you laugh). Well, it’s true! I used to LOVE princesses in preschool, and my favorite princess happened to be Cinderella. I remember buying many princess stationery, toys, and much more! Believe it or not, my dream of being a princess lasted until second grade! Then, from third grade to fourth grade I wanted to be a dancer, and from fifth grade to now I wanted to be an actress. Okay, let’s stop talking about my dreams for a second, because this blog is not all about me, it’s about our dreams, and how we should never give up on our dreams.

“Never let go of your dreams”. In my opinion, this quote means that no matter what people tell you, or how ridiculous it might sound, you should NEVER, EVER, give up on your dreams. Don’t let people stop you from achieving your dreams. If someone tells you that you have a crazy dream, don’t listen to them. Those kind of people are bullies. You should keep on going to accomplish your dreams, and once you do, you are going to prove these people wrong!

When I graduate college, I have many, many dreams that I want to accomplish. For instance, I want to graduate college in Yale, which is a really tough college to get into. I want to travel to Paris and become a fashion designer, because let’s get real; I’m a total girly girl. I’m totally OBSESSED with fashion! I also want to be a wildlife rehabilitator, which is a person who helps take care of injured or sick animals. I also want to help build homes for those who don’t have any, because every person on Earth deserves to have a proper place to live. I also want to make plenty of fundraisers to earn money, to give to people who don’t have any, or to help cure patients. In conclusion, even though most of these dreams aren’t for me, I feel that everyone deserves to have a standard lifestyle as we do.

In conclusion, this is why you should never give up on your dreams. You can have any type of dream you want, no matter how crazy it sounds. Sky’s the limit. Even though I don’t know if my dreams will come true, I will keep working hard and will keep trying until all of my dreams come true.

  18. A dream often seems more unachievable than not, as that is what a dream is. A vision of an ideal opportunity or experience, a shooting star that never quite reaches the intended destination. Everyone dreams, and everyone lives, but it’s up to you whether you spend that life in hiding, or in seek of wishes come true. Don’t let your dreams be dreams, as someone famous once said.
Starting as early as preschool, or even not in school yet, children and infants dream. These dreams grow larger and expand to hold more possibilities the older you are. As an elementary schooler, my dreams were simple, such as getting an A on a test, winning in a game in gym, getting along with friends. As I grew older, pressure to fit in started to settle down on my shoulders, and that became a dream as well. However, these are all very near the present dreams, ones that might burst into reality as early as tomorrow. Long term dreams are the real issues, especially the ones that seem impossible at times. My middle school dreams are to maintain an A report card and to get involved in as many clubs and sports as possible. It’s also to become more productive, and return to my days of writing, when I used to type as many words and ones that I spoke a day. Some old habits might be hard to quit, but some are hard to get back to as well, even if you really want to. Other dreams include becoming more organized, getting a volunteer job and much more. Luckily, these dreams are so possible that they might even be able to be called ‘goals’ at this point. High school dreams are another issue.
My dream is to place in the top 10 at whatever high school I end up going to. This would look well on college applications and would be a boost of self-confidence. Whether it be an Academy (yet another dream) or just JFK, holding a leadership role in the student council would be amazing as well. Like everyone, I hope to get into a good college, with a scholarship if possible. I hope that I’ll have an amazing group of friends I could call family, and a major I would be proud of. One of my dreams is to get at least a master’s degree in my major, and have a minor on the side, for backup. My dream life would be living with a well off financial conditions, with at least a cat and a dog, not being crushed by work, but not having free reign either. Free reign would be too much bliss, too much happiness, and if I achieved enough to be able to have it, I’d force myself to keep both feet on the ground, in case disaster strikes.
Dreams come and go, fleeting as the ones in your sleep, but can also last a lifetime. Dreaming not only casts a positive outlook on everything, it also is motivation for your goals in life. Dreams can be hard to reach, but anything is possible if you try. Keep on dreaming, and keep on aiming for the skies. Even if you miss, you’ll land amongst the stars.

  19. Dreams. We all have dreams, whether they are as small as getting a good grade on a test or as big as being the President of the United States. I, too, have many dreams that require lots of hard work to be accomplished. There is a proverb that goes “If you can dream it, you can do it." And I agree with this.

Right now, in middle school, I have many dreams that I have accomplished and some that are yet to be accomplished. During sixth grade, I always dreamed of being a part of the National Junior Honors Society. Well, this year, in seventh grade, I made it in! As of this moment, I really want to get 5’s on the PARCC. I want nearly perfect scores, or perfect scores on both the ELA and math PARCC. My dreams for eighth grade itself are to maintain straight A grades, take part in new clubs, and participate in more volunteering activities like Tooling Around the Township. In eighth grade I want to do the best I possibly can because my grades for that year will decide my t the AP classes I can be in.
High school is the time when I need to start deciding which colleges I want to go in and what I want to be. I have multiple dreams to accomplish in high school. The most important dream I have for high school is getting into the Middlesex County Academy for Science, Technology, and Engineering Technologies because this school will help me achieve my dream career of being a robotics engineer. I want to get the best grades possible in high school for that will help me get into my dream college. Having attended the Academy would help me become who I want to be, a robotics engineer.

In the summer of eleventh grade, I have a dream of getting accepted into the Governor's School of Engineering and Technology as well as the Microsoft internship program.

I have a dream to be accepted into either an Ivy League college or MIT. To be specific, I have a dream of getting admission into either Princeton University, Harvard University, NYU, or MIT. A great amount of effort and hard work is needed to get admission into famous, great colleges like these.

As a college student, I dream of getting an internship offer from Facebook, Google, or Apple allowing me work with famous robotics and computer engineers on a specific task.

Talking about my career as an adult, I want to be a robotics engineer working in NASA or any technology companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and Apple I want to be the first person to build the first ever machine that can communicate with aliens. As a robotics engineer, I want to build devices that will impact the world, like, as I said before, the first machine to see and communicate with aliens, or a device that brings everyone clean water no matter where they live.

Never stop dreaming. If you ever dream of something that you think will never happen, think again, because anything can be accomplished with effort and hard work. “If you dream it, you can do it.”

  20. Remember when we were little kids and our teacher would ask, “Hello children! Today’s assignment is to describe what you want to do when you grow up and your future is going to be like!” I know that I was bamboozled by the question for I certainly didn’t know the answer to such a question. At first, I had set my eyes on being a paleontologist (an occupation involving the research of prehistoric dinosaurs). But after seeing how low of an income there is, I stopped thinking about it. Unlike other peers who had hopes to become doctors and engineers or sports player, I was confused of what to do. But as time passed by, I started receiving some answers.
First up, occupation. Although I’m still not narrowed down to one single option, I have my preferences in mind. Unfortunately, my childhood dream of working with ancient fossils of dinosaurs is over. But despite that loss, it gave way for more opportunities. I have resulted on four options: college professor (most likely at Princeton or Boston University), a lawyer, stock/bank accountant, or an employee at a high post in an involving company for technological advancements (Google, Apple, Microsoft and etc.). It sounds like a lot for one person to maintain in there head but I’ve got most of the details set in mind for each job! For me, middle school dreams were just to do good in my academics. I've been doing pretty swell so there's no need to sweat currently. I know that high school is going to give me even more challenges so I'm just going to prepare for the worst. I would really like to take a few AP classes in high school and would like to have one class that I could have as extra. AP Calculus and Statistics might be one of them. For the meanwhile, I'm just going to work up until those dreams/goals.
Goals are something that everyone needs to have as well. These motivational forces help us build ourselves and help create the world we live in. Think about it. If Bill Gates had not set a goal that he would create something that will help today’s tech, “Microsoft” would just be a random word. Plus, it’s ok to have a numerous goals! I know sure do have a lot! One of them for me would be to help contribute for stopping the problems of our world. This includes world hunger, poverty, gender equality, and education rights.
Besides non-personal goals (helping others, etc.), I also have some goals I want to accomplish on my own. I would really like to attend Princeton or Boston Univ. I look forward to traveling all around the world (for Ex. Japan and Brazil). Finally, I would really like learning more religious sutras (knowledgeable writings, prayers) and being religious as I grow up.
All in all, my dreams and goals haven’t been written in stone yet and my destiny is still changing. But that won’t top me from chasing after my dreams and accomplishing my goals because those will help me in the coming time.

Everyone has a dream. Dreams are something that we all get when we are sleeping, or when we are awake. However, to most of us, our 'dream' is something we would like to be in the future. Everyone tells us that we can make our dreams come true. And that we can do it if we are ambitious. But that doesn't really help us that much. Some people have already laid out what they want to be when they grow up, and where they want to work, and what they have to do, but most of us haven't. We are just letting life take us wherever, which is what I am doing. So, I haven't really thought much about my dream life. I don't really know what I want to be when I grow up, let alone how to get there. I think I would like to be a doctor because that seems pretty interesting, and you get to help people, which is what I would like to do.
My dream life is probably what most people want. And what most people want is a lot of money, a bunch of sports cars, and to live lavishly. My dream life also includes helping people with physical or mental injuries
I don't have a lot of middle school dreams. My only dream or more like hope is that I get good grades throughout my years in middle school. It is the same thing with my high school dreams. I am not like those people in movies, who want to be popular or have a boyfriend, or anything like that. I don't think that is necessary at this age. I mean, you are still young. Why would you want to decide your life living with someone so early?
My college dreams are basically to get into a really good college. And I mean like Princeton, or Harvard, or MIT. I want to have a really good college education (not saying that any other colleges are bad). I want to get into a college with a fully paid scholarship, or at least a scholarship where they pay mostly for college fees.
My adult dreams are not like most people. I don't want to have a child or get married. I don't even want to date. I feel as if I don't need anyone in my life besides my friends, my family, and myself. And my work dream is basically to just work as a doctor and help people in any way possible.
I know that I have aimed pretty high, but I think I can do it. My life isn't etched out in stone. In fact, nobody's life is. That is why we love it. All I really want to do is live my life to the fullest, and enjoy everything I do. And what I want to do is something that won't stay the same. I might find these dreams boring, or just not be as interested as I was beforehand. I can't stop dreaming. But I know that I can do it. We all can.

  22. I am always dreaming throughout the day whether it's at school when I’m bored or when I'm sitting on my couch doing nothing. My dreams are constantly changing. When I was younger, I wanted to be a firefighter, but now that I’m a little older I understand that I can be something better. I understand that I can be a person that I would like to be when I grow up. I realized that there is a job out there that is more suited for me than being a firefighter. Well, I didn’t realize all thi until I actually got older, and it wasn’t until third grade that I thought of being something that has to do with building houses. I first dreamt of being a construction worker. I realized that I wasn’t interested in making houses, I was just interested in making model houses and drawing layouts of houses. And it wasn’t until fifth grade that I realized what I wanted to be when I grew up, an architect. I dreamt of being an architect, sitting in a chair, with a desk in front of me that is filled with all sorts of tools, and a huge piece of paper with house plans drawn on it by me, also known as a blueprint.

Middle School is the time that most of the dreaming happens. I started my dreaming of being an architect in fifth grade, but, most of it happens right now, in middle school. I sit in the back thinking that someday I will draw the plans of another school in which thousands of kids will come in everyday and learn something knew. When I am at home, I think that someday I would be able to design my own house and live in it. All I want to do in middle school is have as much fun as I want with, along with learning what I have to learn now, because come high school, I will be very serious with myself. Just because I said that all I want to do is have fun, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to learn anything, I do, but this is the last chance I’m going to have, playing and having fun. Once high school starts I’m going down to work. Once in awhile I might have some fun, but for the most part, work.

Another big part of life is high school. I have lots of dreams of high school. I will take one or two AP classes and then have honors as well. I don’t want to be learning something very easy, so I am dreaming of challenging myself with AP and honors. I would also like to join the sports teams that they have at JFK. I would love to play for JFK and win.

After high school, you have to go to college especially if you want to be an architect like me. I dream of going to Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. I think that here you can get a good education about architecture and how to be and architect. I think that this college can get me prepared for being an architect later on in my life.

After college, you are going to have to get a job. If you want to spend money, get a nice looking house, you're going to have to get a job. For me, that job is and architect. I will get a job as an architect and build many homes for people to live in.

Everybody likes money including me. As an adult I hope to be a rich man that owns a house and owns a Mercedes, Maserati, and a Mustang. Probably a Lamborghini, if I can be that rich.

All in all, I’m always dreaming and my dreams are always changing, but I hope I can accomplish all of my dreams.

  23. The future can never be predicted. Things can either go the way you want it to go or it can do the opposite. Everyone has their hopes and goals for the future and so do I. The way I see the future will most likely change through events that happen in my life. But as of now my main focus on my dreams and future is to educate myself to my limit. Education at my age I see as top priority. I see myself as a person who dreams sometimes too big but not impossible. I’m that kind of person that plans a lot ahead. As of now i'm already thinking about what classes to take in highschool to go to a certain college and even a certain profession. In the years I have lived people have told me to stop worrying and that highschool is far away. To me that is incorrect. If u think about it I only have 5 years left of school. That is nothing knowing that I see 5th grade like it was yesterday. Anyways I see myself wanting to go into the field of engineering and science because to me that's what I enjoy and what i'm good at.

High School is not that far away from me but I have high hopes. In highschool I want to increase my community hours, volunteering and going to community events. I also want to play in more sports that I show interest in just so I know inside of me that I can do this. As I already said I am trying to educate myself a lot. Which means in highschool I am trying to take the best class opportunities there are which include doubling up in certain topics and getting AP classes. When I’m typing this response my thoughts seem so much more than I think of them in my head(just saying). Now when I go to college I’m going to aim for masters for whatever profession choose at that time. I don’t have an exact college preference right now but I would like to stay in state and dorm just because it’s easier and I get to stay near family.

After I am done with college I want to have a steady job in which I can pay for a house and have money left over in which I can give to my family. I want to live a safe life in which I have money left over just in case of an emergency and something bad happens. Honestly I have never thought of having my own family or a dream house or cars. Those type of thoughts never came across my head. That's for another time. Of course I want my dreams to come true but i'm prepared for the worst because in this world anything can happen but I hope for the best.
